Extra mini mini Easter paper basket

Hi Everyone,
I few months ago I met a male card maker who in my opinion was very creative when it came to stamping. I want to thank Robert for teaching me something new every time we met.  he stated like most we have stamps images that we haven't use in awhile and you would be amazed at what you can create. Well Robert came up with this idea that only requires 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11( which makes 2 baskets), your favorite background stamp, border punch(only if you want) and any other embellies that you might want to use (which in my opinion not to many) and of course adhesive.  So in honor of the upcoming holiday here is the very sweet paper creation. Once I fill  with my hubby's favorite chocolate it will be even sweeter. Enjoy.

Wednesday What?

Good Morning Everyone,
Today I am off and running  to scrap with my scrappin' sister Sharon. Wednesday what? Well Sharon has an open invite to anyone that can scrap on Wednesdays. And since sometimes it's hard to do the weekends because of family commitments and other activities. She thinks by having a midweek scrap it would be fun. So any of you fellow scrapper/crafters' that think they can join her in the mid week just let me know. Her scrapping space is a converted 3 car garage with all the amenities. Just like home only BIGGER!

On with the post. As I have posted before I am making cards for the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. They are simple with just a few elements. These particular cards have stickles, dry embossing, EK Success boarder punch and brads. Nothing fancy!

Everyone have a great day!

Time for Tea!

Hello Everyone,
From time to time most crafters wear many hats. I am proud to say I am one of them. I sometimes get board from time to time and I try to come up with new ways to reinvent my creativity. While visiting my dear friend Lindamae I had the pleasure of meeting her mom. Although she is not crafty I was able to show her, Lindamae and  another crafter Sena how to make stick pins. You know the ones that all over YouTube. Well she was elated that she was able to make a simple but beautiful item. Now she is hooked. I also found out she was loves to drink tea and collect teacups. So I decided to combine the two loves together. I have see this idea in swaps a few years back but have never attempted to make them until that weekend. Here are my latest creations for storing those one of a kind stick pins.

A Special Tag

Hello Everyone,
Hope all of you took advantage of the awesome weather we had this past weekend. Well for me I played host to a couple friends of mine that are from the Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach area. Although they are not new to the Orange County area they are new to all the amenities it has to offer. I thoroughly enjoyed their company. Between the wine drinking and laughter it was truly was a blast. So thank you Lindamae and Sena for making the journey.

Now about the tag. A few weekends ago Lindamae hosted a scrap booking party for a mutual friend. And she was creating this layout of her son Enzo basketball photo. Well she was at a standstill for a piece of real estate on her page. The paper for was a sure fit to the theme of the school's mascot which is Mission Prep Royals. But it needed a little something so she put it aside and we got to talking about how I was involved in tag swapping. I showed her what is was and when reviewing the tags she came across one that I had made from one of the very first swaps I was involved in. She said " I have to have it" for Enzo page. I said I try not to give away my very first piece I will custom make you one that are the colors and theme to match your page. This was the only thing I could think of to do for her as a thank you for letting me stay with her and her family that weekend. Here it is. I have to tell you this tag is made with several elements not just stamping. If you want to know please feel free to email me.

Wild Card Cartridge Cards

Hello Everyone,
Happy Friday looks like we are going to have some great weather for the next few days. I had gotten the Cricut wild card cartridge some time ago. I was attempting to do every card in the book. Slowly I will achieve this. When I decided to challenge myself and fellow scrapper who knew what a big task it was going to be. There are some many cuts just to achieve a polished look. I get why some crafters choose to do stamping, Sizzix's, and Spellbinders verses Cricut die cutting. The amount of time involved. Anyhoo here are a couple cards I made with matching envelopes.

Scrap Cards

Hello Everyone,
Well it's the first day of a new month. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas.I love that spring is just around the corner.

Well this posting is to pay Amish to my scrap booking pal Julie. As crazy as she can be she makes all of her cards with leftover scraps. Like most of us some are hit and misses. But for the most part they are inventive. I also had this notion that they had to be from new pieces of paper (how wasteful was that)? Now I finally get it ( that is when it comes to card making) I have made other projects from scraps why not a card? Here is what I have created. So thank Julie for showing me the way and for helping perfect how to tie a ribbon ( I still struggle from time to time)!
