This Memorial weekend!

This image is in honor of my father who has passed. I am truly blessed and thankful that he had honored his country as a Marine. May all those that are still serving I send my prayers to you and your families. And my hopes that you all will be returning home soon.

Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue Collection

Hello Everyone,
Well as promised I am featuring my Graphic 45 9x7 tabletop mini. Here in Orange County, CA we have so few scrapbook stores that are noteworthy. But I am fond of 2. One of them is Pinecone Press Design( http://www.pineconepressdesign.com/). I frequent Pinecone because they have a die cut club that is only 24 dollars for a year membership ( unlimited use). They have a ray of die cuts for their Mega Accu Cut. So when I don't feel like using my cricut and I want clean chipboard pieces I head over there. They also have kit classes from time to time. Well  I took a class but because of all the embellishing that I wanted to do I did my kit a little different. Now the pictures that you are going to view have so much more added then what was taught and I changed the format to fit my needs.I added chipboard to all the paper embellies so that it would give the project dimension. And what is a project without bling and glitter. This project idea was fun. Thank you Debbie, Walter and of course Margretfor introducing the G45 project. Thanks for looking.

My Crafting Space

Hello Everyone,
Well I wasn't going to post these pics but I had to empty out my camera. For the past few years my DH wanted to redo our home office/guest room/scrap space. But between needing to have a home office, a place for guest to sleep and a place for me to create I could not hold out any longer. It was a go and to my surprise this is what was created. I am only going to show images of my creative space because after all this blog is all about crafting. To me this was better than any other gift he could have given me. Hope you enjoy the pics. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me an email.TFL

This is my custom paper tray section. The image is starting from the right side of my room.

Front view of the main counter. Which measures 9 1/2 ft x 2 1/2 ft. The draws below house my $1 chipboard, paper bags, chipboard letters, staple gun, extra glue guns, fabric, unfinished picture frames, misc office depot tags, die cuts etc.

A view from inside one of the draws. This draw is located to where I sit so that I can have easy access.

This is the draw closest to the paper draws.

The front of the upper cabinets. I love these draw pulls.

This is inside a couple of the cabinets and yes this is all my stamps wood and acrylic put into cd cases and cataloged by number.

I have see so many people with these shelves and they don't max it out to it's potential. As you can see I took care of that! Love these got them both for $40.

This is the main area were I sit the counter space

My rotating tool caddy. As you can see I have utilized every inch of it.

My paper stacks are located directly under the counter where I sit. And to the right is my ribbon by color scheme.

This is an angle shot of my counter that has a custom dividers for my embellishments and all of the big tools I use.

A close up shot of a section of my embellishments.

I love this section of the room. My husband made this window bench that has a dual functionality. Below the bench is my seasonal paper packs, chipboard, glitter paper and embossed 12x12 paper.

Here is where I hang my other punches. Of course the best way to feature them was to use the IKEA utility bars. And to the right are some of my albums along with magazines, idea book, my embossing, cricut and stamp catalog. I have another section above my hubby desk that has more albums but didn't want to show it cause it has his work things on the desk. But maybe later when its free.

And last but not least a place to display my projects. Of course many of the items that I have made have been given to family and friends. But the ones that I made just me are sometimes displayed. This actually a 4 tier shelving unit.

This view is inside the draws fits 12x12 paper. backside is full sheets and the front is for scraps in between is custom spacers so there is no over flow. the size is about 26x13

What to do with a Little Imagination

Hello Everyone,
I wanted share a few things with you today while I was on my travels with my hubby. Like most of us who love to craft we often encounter fellow crafters' who we admire. I personally keep a list of those who inspire me. Well this past week I met a crafter by the name of Joanne Walton. She had a few creative ways to take advantage of the $1.50 items that we all find at our local craft store. If any of you have kids and want to do something over the summer with them I suggest you take advantage of those $1.50 items because this is what you can create with a little imagination. Hope you all enjoy what I had to share. Check back tomorrow for a Graphic45 project. Thanks for looking and a very big thank you Joanne taking the time to chat with me.

I added a votive candle holder and turned it upside down. That way the paper mache bird  had something to perch on

This is a paper mache cupcake with a removable top. Just use a 1" circle punch and embellish it with whatever you have handy. Or if you are like me sometimes its good to keep it simple.

Who wouldn't love these. If you are looking to add a little color to your creative space then you can create these cute little wood spool mushrooms for your bakers twine.

The Scrapbook Clutch

Hello Everyone,
I first want to say this project is not for a beginner scrapper. The idea is from Kathy Orta. She called it the Contessa. I did some modifications to fit my needs and used my current supplies on hand. This album clutch hold up to 40 pictures. When I started it I did not realize what I was gettting myself into. But when it was completed I have to say it was one of the most incredible projects I have done in a while. I did not use any embellishments on it other that than what was used on the front. I felt it just needed to be kept simple. Thanks for looking.

The supplies I used:
3 pieces of chipboard (recycled frozen pizza box)
16" of Duct tape ( HomeDepot)
24 pieces of  12 x12 pattern paper ( DCWV Tres Chic and Fun Stamper Paper line)
2 pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock (Recollections)
8"chain ( scrap jewelry)
2 large jump rings ( scraps from old jewelry)
12" pc of Tyvek paper( Fedex envelope)
Beacon's 3 in 1 glue
1/4 redline tape (from Pinecone Press)
2 rolls of 1/4 scor tape( from Scrapbuck )
black glitter
10 pcs of round velcro tape ( from Walmart)
Want2Scrap Bling ( picked up at the  Scrapbook Expo last year)

Overall size is:
10"x 8 3/4 x 1 1/2
