Scrap Swap Etiquette 101

Hello Everyone,
I had participated in several swasp this past month only to disappointed that my partners did not come through. If you are following my blog regularly you know that my projects were completed and posted on this site. My only down fall was I should have used my instincts and not shipped my swaps till I received adequate confirmation. Meaning checking in regulary with the host. That should have been my RED flag. But no being the honest person I am I sent them their items anyway  because I have integrity.
When I told my fellow craft sister Jenny Ashley (since she is on the same swapping site as me) I found out she was having the same issue. So she sent me this video. I know some people will say it rude but I think it hits home. Until you experience what I know some of my crafty friends have you will see that it is not rude. But then again some people will never get it. To me those are the people that are deceitful and have no morals let alone a conscious. So my crafty friends BE AWARE!

I want to Thank Jenny Ashley for telling me about the video and Gina at http://www.myscraproom.ning.com/ for creating the video

Graphic 45 - Little Darlings 6x6 Paperbag Mini

Hello Everyone,
Today's post is to feature a 6x6 paper bag mini that I made for a swap. This was the first time that I had ever done paper bag mini. Beforehand I had to do some research. And with the help of my scrapping friend Jenny at http://www.addictedtopaper.blogspot.com/ and some You Tube videos this is what transpired. However the cover is one complete piece of chipboard wrap in denim material.
Hope my swap partner likes it and and certainly all my crafty friends. TFL

My Shabby Card

Hi Everyone,
So yesterday I posted one of my swap partners projects. But I forgot to include her card. I use the extra materials to create a one of a kind card to go along with her box and pin cushion.  I was looking at the post early this morning and realized there was some gaps. So I added a few embellies and voila.....complete!
If you checked out the box before you might want to revisit the pictures for I made a view minor adjustments to the box/pin cushion because I replaced the pictures and did a re post.

Now it will be off in the mail to Kathi. I really hope she likes it cause this was one of the most fun projects I had done in a long time.

I am thinking I may have to create another box as a give away! Please comment with your thoughts.TFL

Shabby Cigar Box and Matching Pin Cushion

Hello Everyone,
I am in 3 swaps for the month of July. My first was a image tag swap, my second one is a mini album swap and my third one is a cigar box and homemade item swap.

Well I finish the image swap and in the mail it went. I am almost done with my mini (hopefully have it completed by Friday) And lastly I just finished my cigar box and homemade item which will go in the mail tomorrow.

So here is the end project. After 3 attempts on the box itself ( I won't go into detail ) I ended up with this (which by the way was not the original design). The box is from my hubby and all the embellishments are from my stash. The quote I had saved on my computer from a website in which I can't remember( if it comes to me I will post it) the chair is from a stamp image that I fussy cut along with adding 2 layers of chipboard to give it depth. And some of the flowers I made out of paper.

The pin cushion is from a $1 box at Joann's. The stick pins are from pieces (beads) of scrap jewelry that I had from doing jewelry back in the day

Now the box and the pincushion is going to my swap partner who is in Texas. Like me she loves the shabby chic motive which was right up my alley. She doesn't know it but some of those pins will be going to her as well.

If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email or leave a comment.TFL
