I am Back

Hello Everyone,
I had been out and about traveling with my husband. But I a glad to be back home. I did not have time to post these projects but before I do that I want to give a shout out to my scrappin' gal pals to thank them for wishing me Happy Birthday. Yes I am another year older and by no means wiser. Thank you Julie M., Lindamae, Jenny A., Adriana, Alice G. and Karen S. And last but not least the greatest husband and my nephew David D.

Now on to the projects. This project was so simple it took me a whole hour to to complete once I gathered all my supplies. Which was 6 toilet paper rolls , 8 pieces of 6x6 pattern paper, and some embellishments (I used scraps). If you want to make this great project check out YouTube. Thank you Karen for the great idea. Love it! Thanks for looking

My New Addition

Hello Everyone,
TGIF! For those of you that are die hard scrapper you will appreciate this. A few weeks back I had a couple of scrappers over my house. At the time I did not realize the importance to having a proper work space and tools. After my guess left I was experiencing an enormous amount of pain through my back and neck area due to crafting that weekend. Since then it has been a couple of weeks in between the massages and pain medication I am finally getting back to normal.

But the story does not end there. A couple of years ago I had been introduced to the Scrap'n Easel. To be honest I was a little sceptical and opted out not to buy it (only because I thought it was too costly).Well who knew years later that I would regret that decision. I was starting to see it advertised more and more in the scrapping magazines. Well I told my hubby about it he said that I should maybe look into purchasing one if it will help relieve any future neck pain. But I was still on the fence. Weeks have come and gone. Then wouldn't you know it there is a knock at  the door and it's the  FEDEX. guy. I get a package that is addressed to my hubby. I was thinking it was for his work so I just put it aside. He then comes home and I told him there was a package for him and he proceeded to opens it. As I was watched him open the box and he pulls out what looks like a black mat. I said "hey that looks familiar". He said it should it's for you! I screamed of course realizing that it was the Scrap'n Easel. It was a beautiful thing! So now I introduce the must have tool. Thanks honey for this wonderful gift!

Strong Heart

Hi Everyone,
Well we are almost there, before you know it the weekend will be here. Okay so today's post is about a very special card. My adorable nephew texted me yesterday afternoon wanting to come by and make a card for his girlfriends' mother who is going to have surgery. He wanted something that would put a smile on her face. Because we all know that having any type of surgery can be stressful. Not only for person that is having it but for the family as a whole. Alice I hope your mother gets the attention that she needs health wise and that you know how much she is loved. And David I could not be more proud to call you family and that you can be rough around the edges at time but your heart is always in the right place. Thank you (David) for allowing me to post your creation.

It's all about the color Pink!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all are having a great work week and enjoying this beautiful weather (that is for those that are in California).
Like most of us crafters' we tend to hoard every last piece of scrap paper. I am not sure why we do it. It's not like there is mass shortage of paper...hehehehe. Well some time back I received some 8x8 paper from a fellow scrapper. Although I was grateful to get such scrapping goodies I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. And in the middle of the night it came to me. So I got up out of bed and jotted down my thoughts and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

Extra mini mini Easter paper basket

Hi Everyone,
I few months ago I met a male card maker who in my opinion was very creative when it came to stamping. I want to thank Robert for teaching me something new every time we met.  he stated like most we have stamps images that we haven't use in awhile and you would be amazed at what you can create. Well Robert came up with this idea that only requires 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11( which makes 2 baskets), your favorite background stamp, border punch(only if you want) and any other embellies that you might want to use (which in my opinion not to many) and of course adhesive.  So in honor of the upcoming holiday here is the very sweet paper creation. Once I fill  with my hubby's favorite chocolate it will be even sweeter. Enjoy.

Wednesday What?

Good Morning Everyone,
Today I am off and running  to scrap with my scrappin' sister Sharon. Wednesday what? Well Sharon has an open invite to anyone that can scrap on Wednesdays. And since sometimes it's hard to do the weekends because of family commitments and other activities. She thinks by having a midweek scrap it would be fun. So any of you fellow scrapper/crafters' that think they can join her in the mid week just let me know. Her scrapping space is a converted 3 car garage with all the amenities. Just like home only BIGGER!

On with the post. As I have posted before I am making cards for the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. They are simple with just a few elements. These particular cards have stickles, dry embossing, EK Success boarder punch and brads. Nothing fancy!

Everyone have a great day!

Time for Tea!

Hello Everyone,
From time to time most crafters wear many hats. I am proud to say I am one of them. I sometimes get board from time to time and I try to come up with new ways to reinvent my creativity. While visiting my dear friend Lindamae I had the pleasure of meeting her mom. Although she is not crafty I was able to show her, Lindamae and  another crafter Sena how to make stick pins. You know the ones that all over YouTube. Well she was elated that she was able to make a simple but beautiful item. Now she is hooked. I also found out she was loves to drink tea and collect teacups. So I decided to combine the two loves together. I have see this idea in swaps a few years back but have never attempted to make them until that weekend. Here are my latest creations for storing those one of a kind stick pins.

A Special Tag

Hello Everyone,
Hope all of you took advantage of the awesome weather we had this past weekend. Well for me I played host to a couple friends of mine that are from the Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach area. Although they are not new to the Orange County area they are new to all the amenities it has to offer. I thoroughly enjoyed their company. Between the wine drinking and laughter it was truly was a blast. So thank you Lindamae and Sena for making the journey.

Now about the tag. A few weekends ago Lindamae hosted a scrap booking party for a mutual friend. And she was creating this layout of her son Enzo basketball photo. Well she was at a standstill for a piece of real estate on her page. The paper for was a sure fit to the theme of the school's mascot which is Mission Prep Royals. But it needed a little something so she put it aside and we got to talking about how I was involved in tag swapping. I showed her what is was and when reviewing the tags she came across one that I had made from one of the very first swaps I was involved in. She said " I have to have it" for Enzo page. I said I try not to give away my very first piece I will custom make you one that are the colors and theme to match your page. This was the only thing I could think of to do for her as a thank you for letting me stay with her and her family that weekend. Here it is. I have to tell you this tag is made with several elements not just stamping. If you want to know please feel free to email me.

Wild Card Cartridge Cards

Hello Everyone,
Happy Friday looks like we are going to have some great weather for the next few days. I had gotten the Cricut wild card cartridge some time ago. I was attempting to do every card in the book. Slowly I will achieve this. When I decided to challenge myself and fellow scrapper who knew what a big task it was going to be. There are some many cuts just to achieve a polished look. I get why some crafters choose to do stamping, Sizzix's, and Spellbinders verses Cricut die cutting. The amount of time involved. Anyhoo here are a couple cards I made with matching envelopes.

Scrap Cards

Hello Everyone,
Well it's the first day of a new month. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas.I love that spring is just around the corner.

Well this posting is to pay Amish to my scrap booking pal Julie. As crazy as she can be she makes all of her cards with leftover scraps. Like most of us some are hit and misses. But for the most part they are inventive. I also had this notion that they had to be from new pieces of paper (how wasteful was that)? Now I finally get it ( that is when it comes to card making) I have made other projects from scraps why not a card? Here is what I have created. So thank Julie for showing me the way and for helping perfect how to tie a ribbon ( I still struggle from time to time)!

Graphic 45 - Paradise Tag

Hi all,
This is probably the faster thing I have ever made. I was thinking of doing a swap with some fellow scrappers using any Graphic 45 paper. My thought is they can only use leftover pieces that they currently own.  But still maintain a theme. Thoughts anyone? TFL

Mini Mini Spring LO

Hello Everyone,
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I don't know about all of you but the weather has been somewhat crazy here in California.
Today I am going to show you what else you can make with left over scraps and a little imagination. This is what I call a mini mini layout .This 6x6 can be use directly on a layout or you can send it as a card. Either way it's a great way to use up all you scraps. Remember scraps are just not for card making or die cutting anymore.

Nothing special...Just a simple thank you

Hello Everyone,
I dedicate this posting to those who have chosen to signed up to my little blog  I chose to create this blog as a personal crafting diary. My blog is not for fame or fortune but simply to show those who are connected to me what I am up to. As you can see I don't have flare buttons nor do I have major scrapbook advertisers. I just wanted my blog to be fun. I like to think my peeps are a savvy in hopes that they don't care about the bells and whistles. For this I am truly grateful. So from the bottom of my crafty heart thank you. And please stay tune for more posting to come.

Feb 2012 Tag Swap Results

Hello Peeps,
I wanted to share with you the results of a tag swap that I was in. The swap originated by Velma Griffin at http://www.creativelyouttacontrol.blogspot.com/.  If you have been following this blog I have been in several. I have to tell you this swap was incredible. What a great bunch of scrapper, stampers, card makers or whatever you may call yourselves. Here are the tags:

This tag was created by our hostess. This a rather large tag. Lots of techniques to this tag from special painting, utee, stamping and glittering. This little piece of art will be displayed proudly. I so very happy you are my scrappin'sister. You never seize to amaze me. thanks a bunch...hugs to you!
P.S. The image below this tag is a paper pad that she added along with her tag. It will be put to good use.

The tag on the left was done by scrapchicky. She layered her stamp images. I love the stamp images

The tag to the right was done by weezie. She die cut the love image and stamp the red card stock so that you could put them back to back and added a few goodies.

How much do we love bunnies? Well this tag was done Virginia Abshire. She added some Easter goodies. Might have to use this on my upcoming Easter basket.

The tag on the upper left was done by Velma L.(not the hostess) She stamped on canvas and used velvet ribbon. The texture is incredible. Another wonderful ink blending technique. Simple and clean.

The tag in the upper middle was craeted by Archana. She use several inking techniques, multiple stamping layering. the texture on the card feels like fabic but you fooled its paper. This is a beautiful card for spring. Loving every element in this card

The upper right tag is reposted with comments below.

The bottom left tag no name love the inking blending and the stamp image. Wish I new who did this tag.

The bottom middle tag was created by Deborah Shoffner she embossed and stamped Love the heart image. Just in time for VD.

The bottom right tag was done by Snowflakedreams she stamped and added a little mini kit. I love that the tag is big.

The tag on the left is by Jeannie Phenis this tag is gorgeous. the purle is awesome. I will have to really think of which of my friends is scrap worthy of this tag(that is if I part with it). Beautiful blending technique, matching fibers and of course the stamp image.

The tag in the middle in by Patti Swartz. Thanks Patti been in a couple of swaps with her and this bunny tag is "hopping wonderful"! Again beautiful lavender colors and lets not forget the die cut in the tag. You can truly appreciate the detail and love that went into this tag. There is no chance this tag will leave my collection.

The tag to the right was done by Melissa Tarrance. Love the embossing and the stamps images.

How cute is this collection? I call it my Lil' black dress tags. Mary David not only stamped she embossed, die cut her images. This is another little piece of art I will have to complete and to add to my collection. Not sure if I will let this one go....hehehehe

This very chic tag was done by Pam Holober. How can you not love any dress form stamp image. Also included was a few goodies to either add or to create another tag to go with this one. Just lovely! Another stick pin. Love when I get them. I adding to collection ( more like hoarding) .

I love when I get different color tags. Like this one from my other scrappin' sister Karen(aka laundryqueen). This was one of my hubby's favorite because the tag was in blue and the stamp image was white. Oh and the stick pin lovin it!

I don't know who these images are from there was no name. But I liked the theme in honor of Chinese New years. My only wish was that the image was stamped more clearly because I would have loved to had colored it in with my water colors.

Awww love this collection done by scrappin' sister Jen Valentine ...hehehe how appropiate her last name love it. Her whole kit was so adorable. I love Valentines with all the pretty bright colors and the goodies! She must have a very light touch I can never get my blending to be that soft.

This tag that Jenny Ashley made was SpeCtacUlaR! This posting does not do it justice you have to check her out on You Tube. Jenny submitted 2 type of tags. You will have to check her out to see the other tag she created. Our instructions was to just to stamp an image. But oh wow I was floored when I open my tag package. Love it again Jenny you have out done yourself. I am proud to call you my scrappin' sister. This tag is go no where. I am hoarding this one for me. Muah!

Here is another beauty by Sandy Larson. She is on You Tube as well. What impress me about her tag was she use so many different elements in her tag. And the earings you see in this picture are made out of paper. This an fun way to using paper. I have done this technique at retreat that I went to 2 years ago. But other than that I love this tag. She also added some goodies.

And last but not least these are my tags that I submitted
