I wanted share something special. When I went to Scrapfest in September I met an amazing crafter. Her name is Christine Slak. She is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Little did I know that we would end up at another event the following week in California. We sat together at the same table for 3 days and scrap booked. Never have I met such talent. I was in awe of her work. She has such talent for creating great projects just off the cuff. As for me I am the opposite I sketch before I create.

With that said she sent me a thank you gift in the mail. She knew I was a fan just like her of the Graphic 45 paper line. I feel honored to have one of her creations. Quick Quotes Private Reserve Pictures

Hello Everyone,
I thought I would share some pictures of  the QQ Private Reserve that was held in Palm Springs,CA. I have attended this event for the past 3 years. I have never attended an event that allows you to complete 34 plus layouts and several misc projects from tags to mini albums in a 3 day venue. All the projects are  inclusive to the flat fee that you have to pay. The best part of this venue is you are not obligated to doing all the layouts. You will still get the kits to complete on your own time or you can bring projects from home. The decision is yours.

The best part of this event for the past few years I have met so many lovely ladies.

This year I met another fellow crafter at Scrapfest in Minnesota (what are the odds) that was attending QQ event. Her name is Christine. Now Christine lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. So Christine sat at table 12 along with Nancy and Doreen (who both live in Thousand Oaks,CA). I also met up with several ladies that I met the first year who happen to sit at table 13,14, and 15. Needless to say it was a fun filled weekend. The most exciting thing was we had a "winner" at our table. Our table mate Christine placed 1st in all but one category for best in show of her projects she had entered.

ScrapFest Pictures

Hello Everyone
It seems like forever. I don't know about the rest of you but as the year comes to an end there seems to be more to do in our crafting world. For those of you that have been following my blog I had the pleasure of going to Scrap Fest in Minnesota with one of my girlfriend Lindamae. It was something that she had wanted to do for her birthday. So off we went. Having never been to the Mall of America it was exciting. As for the event itself  it was a one time thing. I did get to meet some designers IE Teresa Collins (we took her class) Marion Smith (from Prima) Margaret Young (PineCone Press) Tim Holtz ( didn't get to take his class but was able to watch teach) and of course some fabulous women from all over. Here are some pictures of the event. Enjoy.

The lovely Marion Smith. Meeting her was worth the hour wait at their make and take booth. And the tag was super cute. She was my first inspiration when I started crafting. She is really tall in person and super bubbly.

Another lovely designer Margaret Young from PineCone Press. I try not to miss any of her classes. She is local (CA) from me like 15 minutes so I get to attend most of her classes. And she is super talented and funny. It was great to see a familiar face.

Okay so here is a picture of the lines. They were insane. Lindamae and stood in a line for an hour and twenty minutes only to find out we were making a card...LOL

So I met Katie from Milwaukee and she had this amazing apron on it was made out of Prima and silk flowers. And in the center the were rhinestones, faux jewelry and buttons. Katie if you are following this blog thank you so much for allowing me to post your creation on my blog. I also told her I would be scraplifting this idea for my half apron.

We did crop night on Saturday and Bazzil was the sponsor. They had given us some misc stickers and a card kit to make 3 cards with the one sheet of paper, 4 flowers, word sticker sheet. okay so I want to use every inch of the paper and embellishments they gave us. So I took my scraps that I had from the TC class and made additional cards/gift tags.

I am looking forward to meeting my favorite designers and hopefully come back with some inspiring ideas and basically makes some new scrap booking craft loving people. Scrap Swap Etiquette 101

Hello Everyone,
I had participated in several swasp this past month only to disappointed that my partners did not come through. If you are following my blog regularly you know that my projects were completed and posted on this site. My only down fall was I should have used my instincts and not shipped my swaps till I received adequate confirmation. Meaning checking in regulary with the host. That should have been my RED flag. But no being the honest person I am I sent them their items anyway  because I have integrity.
When I told my fellow craft sister Jenny Ashley (since she is on the same swapping site as me) I found out she was having the same issue. So she sent me this video. I know some people will say it rude but I think it hits home. Until you experience what I know some of my crafty friends have you will see that it is not rude. But then again some people will never get it. To me those are the people that are deceitful and have no morals let alone a conscious. So my crafty friends BE AWARE!

Graphic 45 - Little Darlings 6x6 Paperbag Mini

Today's post is to feature a 6x6 paper bag mini that I made for a swap. This was the first time that I had ever done paper bag mini. Beforehand I had to do some research. And with the help of my scrapping friend Jenny at http://www.addictedtopaper.blogspot.com/ and some You Tube videos this is what transpired. However the cover is one complete piece of chipboard wrap in denim material.
