A Scrappin' Good Time Double Layout

Hello Everyone
I am on a roll this is my 3rd post today. But a quick post. A few months back I went to a crop and enter a raffle to win some scrapbook items. Although I could not see everything that was in the raffle basket I was please to have won it. Inside the basket was several  layout kits.  I did make some modifications to the layout and planned to add a few more embellishments once I get the photos added. TFL

Melissa Francis Rose Hanger Canvas Board Layout

Hello Everyone,
Today I am sharing a really cute scrapbook gadget. The hanger is one by Melissa's Francis. A while back I had seen the hanger at at the Scrapbook Expo and had purchased only one. But then to my regret I wish I had gotten more because they would have been idyllic to display my layouts in my craft space.

Well my thoughts were heard. A fellow scrapbooker and my dear friend Lindamae(www.arroyograndescrapbooker.blogspot.com) sent me one for Christmas. Although I received a box from her last week and then called her to thank her she said "You were not suppose to open the box until Christmas Day". I had no idea she was going to add goodies in there. I thought she was just going to send me a paper cutter. OOPS my bad! But I love it.

In order to showcase this shabby chic hanger I made a very simple thin canvas layout. The paper is from  Quick Quotes. Enjoy!

Nutcracker Sweet-Graphic45

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share an amazing scrapbook gift that I received. I love when I get handmade cards and craft items from my crafting friends. I  also appreciate time used when creating these little pieces of art. As you all know that this year I attended Scrapfest at the Mall of America.  Well I met a crafter name Christine Slak in passing while I was waiting for an elevator.We exchange information only to meet up the following week at another event. Like most crafters we are bonded in a way no one can explain. The passion and excitement is always the same. You see Christine lives in Wisconsin and I am here in California. From time to time we email and have a phone conversations. She and I love the Graphic 45 paper line. Now Christine became an instructor this year at her local scrapbook store. The last conversation I had with her I had expressed the Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet shadow box that she was doing looked amazing and then I wished her much success with her class.

Well to my surprise yesterday I received a box and inside was the Nutcracker Sweet shadow box that Christine designed. The picture on her website did not do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful in person! I feel priveledge and honor to have yet another one of her projects. This 3D project has lots of wonderful elements. I L-O-V-E  it!

Christmas Studebaker Mini Album

Hello Everyone,
I hope all of you are wrapping up your holiday shopping and getting everything in order. Well a couple of weekends ago I had an opportunity to complete my Christmas Studebaker mini that I had gotten from Pinecone Press. I wanted to do something that I knew wasn't going to take too much time. And I was right! I was able to complete in about 4 hours (record time ) I think because I chose not to ink my edges. Who knew how much time that saved. I did however do some modifications so that I could have more places for pictures. Now this year when our Christmas day with the family is done and over with I will  be ready.......yippie! So enjoy the pictures.

     

                                  

Penguin/Snowman Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone,
 A few years ago I used to do 10 different theme Christmas cards. But after trial and error I realized that making that many different cards you tend to be shy of supplies. So this year I want to keep it simple I made an easel card. Although I would love to take all the credit I can't, because the easel card idea has been around for years. I believe Hallmark were the pioneers of these type of cards but scrapbookers took it to the next level by putting their own spin on their designs. Well as most of my creating friends know that I love using my Cricut. But what they don't know is I am a huge fan of this crafter name Momo. She designs the cutest cards with her Cricut cartridges. She may not got to lengths in which embellishments are used but the concept is the same. Because I love the simplicity of her designs I pay homage to her. And these are my Christmas card. I forgot to mention that my sample cards are missing the other snowflakes that I had put next to them ( those that received my cards had the snowflake on them I did not take a final picture).

Thanksgiving Day Card

Hi Everyone,
Like all of you I have been busy and have not had time to post any of my activities to my blog. Those that are close to my scrapping circle know that I love my Cricut machines. I normally do not do cards for Thanksgiving. But this year I decided to make some cards out of the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.

As I sat at my coffee table glueing, stamping, and inking I did not think I was ever going to finish. But I did. Although I love the way the card turned out I don't know I would attempt this type of card again.
